Friends of Alta Eco Explorers promotes a connection between our natural environment and the youth of our community, through peer-to-peer guided outdoor adventures, to inspire our youth to become future stewards of Alta and Little Cottonwood Canyon.

What do FOA Eco Explorers do?

Educational Hikes

These educational hikes discuss Alta's history, ecology of Alta, and the importance of watershed protection throughout the hike.

Junior Rangers

Junior Rangers are important people because they help park rangers protect plants, animals, rocks and historic sites. Junior Rangers learn that Alta needs to be protected now and in the future.
