About the Event
In this presentation, Dr. Scott Hotaling will discuss how the Wasatch and surrounding mountains are changing, new areas of exciting research, and how communities, nonprofits, and agencies can make a difference to protect the mountains. Specifically, he will discuss rock glaciers—a critical area of emerging research in a warming world—and a new initiative at Utah State University to integrate mountain research, education, and outreach to bolster the future of our mountains.

Scott Hotaling Bio:
Scott Hotaling is a professor in the Department of Watershed Sciences at Utah State University. He received his PhD in 2017 and joined the Utah State faculty in 2022.
