Our friend and founder Bill Levitt believed that one of Alta's greatest strengths is its refusal to modernize, offering a refuge for the "soul" of skiing in an industry full of corporate luxury and commercial development. Others may disagree. Bill's perspective however is representative of the mindset of our overarching community, and as one could argue, the "insiders look."
